After installing the extension, you must change the configuration data of the extension as per your need. During the first installation, the extension itself will generate the default configuration data suitable for most users. You can change those settings here. Most of the fields in this form are self explanatory. We have also added explanations for some of the fields in the same form to make them clear.

To access Yendif Events Configuration :

  • Login to your Joomla admin
  • Select "Components => Yendif Events => Global Configuration"
  • You can change the Yendif Events settings here

General Settings

You need JavaScript enabled to view it. “Emails IDs” to which the emails are sent when a booking is made, cancelled, etc … By default, the extension uses the “Email ID” from your site’s “Global configuration” menu. You can override this from here. You can also override this setting per event.
Send confirmation email to all group members Yes, No Set to “Yes”, when you like to email all the members in the group booking.This works only when you have enabled “email” fields in the member forms.
Enable Coupon Yes, No Enable or Disable Discount Coupons.
Enable Deposits Yes, No When enabled, the booker can make partial payments and pay the remaining amount directly when attending the event. You can override this setting per event and also set the minimum deposit amount. Bookings made with this type are marked as “Status = Deposited” and the Due amount is mentioned in the Exported Bookers list.
Enable Tax Yes, No When set to “Yes”, the tax amount is calculated and added to the booking amount.
Tax Amount 0.00% Amount of tax to be calculated and added.
Enable Waiting list Yes, No When set to “Yes”, the users will be able to book as a waiting list user for the event of which bookings are closed. When someone cancelled their bookings, the users from the waiting lists are invited through a mail automatically to book and attend the event.
Enable Recurring Events Yes, No A recurring event is any event that occurs more than once, according to a pre-defined rule: examples are weekly meetings, anniversaries and birthdays. “Yendif Events” makes it easy to add events that happen more than once, like meetings, classes, appointments, or birthdays. Enabling this feature, allows you configure Date Time Periods in the Event adding form. So, when an event is created, multiple instances of the same event are created based on the periodic configuration. “Yendif Events” will automatically open and close registrations for all of your recurring events.

Enable Terms and Conditions by Event Yes, No When set to “Yes”, the Event Owners can create a separate article and configure it as the TOS page for his event.
Attachment File Formats zip, rar “Event Owners” can add attachments in the event adding forms. So that the bookers will receive it when they book for these events. Admin can configure the allowed attachment file formats here.

Default Country USA The default country to be selected in “Venues” adding forms.
Date Format F j, Y Format in which the dates must be displayed in the events listing pages of the site front-end. This feature uses PHP Date format.
Time Format g:i a Format in which the times must be displayed in the events listing pages of the site front-end. This feature uses PHP Time format.
Currency USD “Currency” used to display the Event Booking prices and to process the payments.
Currency Symbol $ “Currency Symbol” used to display the Event Booking prices and to process the payments. Both the “Currency” & “Currency Symbol” does the same job. We use both the values to display the prices and they must be relevant to each other.
Decimal Points 2 Number of Decimal points in the currency.
Decimal Separator . Decimal Separator in the currency.
Thousands Separator , Thousands Separator in the currency.
Currency Position Right, Left “Position” in which the currency must be displayed.
Enable Captcha $ When set to “Yes”, users will have to accept the Captcha Challenge when using “Invite Friends” form in the site front-end.
